2016 KGT Excellence Awards
KGT Employment will be holding a KGT Excellence Awards night on Friday 26th of August. The Awards will celebrate the progress and achievements of our clients in the East and West Kimberley.
Event winners will be chosen for the following categories:
- Telstra - Apprentice of the Year Award
- The Apprenticeship Community - Trainee of the Year Award
- Madalah House - School-Based Trainee of the Year Award
- Mangrove - Host Employer of the Year Award
- Food & Water Corp - Safety Recognition Award
- Airnorth - Kimberley Encouragement Award
KGT recognises that many of our trainees, apprentices, and school-based trainees have obstacles that they need to overcome during their traineeship, apprenticeship, or school-based traineeship. Obstacles include but are not limited to juggling family responsibilities and training, alcohol and drug addictions, and lack of mobility due to licensing issues to name a few. When apprentices and trainees persevere and overcome these obstacles, outcomes often result in life-changing experiences and achievements.
By formally recognising these achievements - be them big or small - KGT hopes to create role models within the community for other people to aspire to and see what can be achieved with dedication and commitment. Kimberley Group Training also wishes to promote traineeships and apprenticeships as avenues to successful and sustainable career pathways.
