As a mentor Marty is a nurturer and a motivator. "It's pretty challenging and a big ask for young kids doing Traineeships, so I chase them up to see how they're going and if they have any difficulties I can help them with." Part of his job is to look out for keen people wanting to work, get them motivated, meeting with businesses to place Trainees and Apprentices and monitoring their progress in the workplace.
